365 Days of Grief & Healing
Harold C. Uecker and Russell A. Witt began a proud tradition of service to the community in 1961 when they built their new funeral home on a vacant lot at 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac, Wis.
On August 19, 1961, Uecker-Witt Funeral Home opened its doors to a 6,200 square foot facility. In 1980, the original building expanded eastward adding a larger foyer, wood-burning fireplace and arrangement room.
Another expansion project was completed in 1988 when square footage increased to about 16,000. The neighboring building, once the Raymer Motor Co. was included in this expansion, allowing for on-site growth. Parkview Cremations was part of this expansion, the 1st crematory in our area. Today, in addition to Parkview serving the families of Uecker-Witt, Parkview also serves as the crematory for over 2 dozen regional funeral homes. Many of these firms have partnered with Parkview since its inception.
At the death of Harold C. Uecker in 1971, Stephen C. Uecker took over the family business after graduating from Mortuary School. He is the CEO of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. In January of 2016, Steve's son, Lee C. Uecker, was appointed president of the firm. 55 years after it began, Uecker-Witt continues to be a family business, with both the 2nd and 3rd generations sharing ownership.
We have two goals; to honor a families loved one with respect and to serve that family with a caring and compassionate hand. We are proud of our ability to go out of the way to provide that service and always look for those opportunities that separate Uecker-Witt from the rest. It's not the amount of money that is or is not spent. It's that we help you honor your loved one. There is not a price tag that can be attached to our ability in providing that opportunity to a family.
