Joyce V. Resop

Joyce V. Resop, age 78, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, May 1, 2008, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. Joyce was born in Saxeville, Wisconsin, December 2, 1929, the daughter of James and Matilda Jensen Andersen, and grew up in Poysippi, Wisconsin. In 1947, Joyce graduated from Berlin High School and moved to Fond du Lac where she met her husband, Felix, and raised their family in their house on Arndt Street. Joyce enjoyed working in her yard, playing with her dogs, and spending time with her family. Joyce, who was never shy to voice her opinion, will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Joyce is survived by her good friend, John Graf, two children: Gerald (Anna) Resop and Tammy (Tom) Andersen, six grandchildren: Alissa (Paul) Kohlhoff, Jake (Jenni) Resop, Jordan Resop, Shawn Andersen, Brandon Andersen, and Megan Andersen; and two sisters: Lorie Dutcher and Ardel Ernst. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters, Irene Thompson and Freida Neitzke, and her brother, Elwin Andersen.
Funeral Information
A private funeral service will be held at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fond du Lac Humane Society, 652 Triangle Road, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, 54935. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
