Donald J. Ruch

Donald J. Ruch, 67, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born in Fond du Lac on September 11, 1944, the son of Rueben and Marjorie Krueger Ruch, Sr.
Donald was a graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School Class of 1963. On October 17, 1964 he married Kathleen Schuppe at Faith Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. He was employed with Rainer Door and Spies Painting and after retiring he worked for Consultant’s Lab as a courier.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and at one time served as an usher. Don enjoyed traveling to the Dakota’s, biking, going to the casinos and after retiring he enjoyed woodworking. His greatest joy was his three grandchildren and attending their many sporting events.

SURVIVORS; Donald is survived by his wife Kathleen “Kathy” Ruch Fond du Lac; two children, Jodi (Steve) Greenfield and their daughter, Abby of Fond du Lac, Jim (Kris) Ruch and their children, Jessica and Marcus of Fond du Lac; one sister, Shirley Gedlinske, Fond du Lac; four brothers, Richard (Mary) Ruch, Genoa City, Norman (Joanne) Ruch, Fond du Lac, Rueben (Kathy) Ruch, Eldorado, Hugh (partner Jim Edwards) Ruch, Jacksonville, FL; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bud (Sandy) Sabel, Malone, Bill (Helen) Schuppe, Fond du Lac, Dennis (Kathy) Schuppe, North Fond du Lac, Diane (Brian) St. Louis, Allenton; many nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marilyn and brother-in-law James Koester; a brother, Donald Schuppe; mother-in-law and father-in-law; and one brother-in-law, David Gedlinske.

Funeral Information

VISISTATION: The family will receive friends on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 55 Prairie Road, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Memorial services will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church. Reverend David Haugly will officiate. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service. Cremation has taken place.
