Marjorie M. Immel

Marjorie M. Immel, 81, of W3151 Hwy H, Town of Empire, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Hospice Home of Hope. She was born June 24, 1930, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Walter and Molly Rost Zitlow. On July 17, 1948, she was married to Duane W. Immel by Rev. Gerhart Pieper at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1997. Mrs. Immel was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. She and her husband farmed in the Town of Empire for many years. During this time, Marjorie also worked for Infant Socks, Wells Manufacturing, and Bestt Roller.
Surviving are three daughters, Karen (Gaylon) Sipple of Dry Ridge, KY, Beverly (Tom) Goebel of Eden, and Deborah (John) Waterworth of Fond du Lac, four sons, Butch (Laura) Immel, Kevin (Kerry) Immel, Ricky Immel, and Ronny Immel, all of Fond du Lac, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Lester Zitlow of Knowles, WI, two sisters, Marguerite (H0ward) Bahr of Fond du Lac, and
Doris Holterman of Florida, and two brothers-in-law, Howard Bahr, of Fond du Lac, and Jim Shepherd, of North Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Melvin and Bernard Zitlow, and four sisters-in-law, Beulah, Ruth, and Lorraine Zitlow, and Beatrice “Boots” Shepherd.

Funeral Information

Visitation for Marjorie M. Immel will be on Monday, May 7, 2012, from 10 to 12 Noon at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 55 N. Prairie Road, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 12 Noon on Monday at the church. The Rev. Joel Gaertner will officiate and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.
