Genevieve M. Selner, 82, of Milwaukee, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at the residence of her daughter, Susan Randall, in Fond du Lac County after a six-year battle against colon cancer. She was born June 5, 1925, in Oconto, WI, the daughter of Louis and Viola Courtois. On October 1, 1948, she married Francis B. Selner in Milwaukee. Mrs. Selner was a member of Blessed Savior Catholic Church in Milwaukee, and was employed by the Milwaukee Public School System as a cook for 21 years.
Surviving is her husband, Francis, two daughters; Susan (Jesse) Randall of Fond du Lac, and Mary (Tom) Demler of West Bend; four sons, John Selner of Milwaukee, Gary Selner of Spokane, WA, Greg Selner of West Bend, and Tom (Sue) Selner of Milwaukee, and five grandchildren. Two sisters, Frances Waschbisch of Green Bay, and Mary Gooding of Milwaukee further survive her. Her parents, two sisters, June Holyoak and Myrna Venturino, and three brothers, Myron, Roy, and Don Courtois preceded her in death.
Funeral Information
