Mike G. Agnos, 85, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, June 05, 2012, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born April 4, 1927, in Meligala, Messinia, Greece, the son of George and Aspasia Bersi Agnos. Mike moved to the United States in 1952, where he became a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. He was employed by Mercury Marine as a machinist for 35 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed gardening and being with his friends. He was a devoted family man and gave special care to his mother and his brother.
Surviving is his wife, Demetra, a son, George (Joanna) Agnos of Appleton, a daughter, Aspasia Agnos of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, Demetra, Michael, and Nicholas Agnos, and one brother, Tony Agnos, of Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Information
Visitation for Mike G. Agnos will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, from 4 to 8 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and again on Thursday, June 7th, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 198 N. Macy Street, Fond du Lac. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM at the church on Thursday. The Rev. Peter Pappademetriou will officiate and burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
