Robert L. Benedict, age 81, of Fond du Lac, died on Monday, July 09, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on September 20, 1930 in Fond du Lac, the son of Leo G. Benedict and Erma V. (Smith) Clark. Bob graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1949. He served in the United States Army in Korea from 1951 to 1953. On April 13, 1956 he married Dolores Romalia in Fond du Lac. He was employed with Wells Manufacturing, Rayovac, Kroger’s, Sterling Custom Homes, and retired from Sysco. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger days. He loved swimming with his family especially with his grandchildren in the backyard.
SURVIVORS: his wife Dolores, three children, Thomas (Lynnette) Benedict, Terry Benedict, and Cindy Benedict, all of Fond du Lac, two grandchildren, Kelsey and Bryce Benedict of Fond du Lac, brother in law, Nick (Gloria) Romalia of Fond du Lac, and his special companion “Bandit”. He was preceded in death by his parents.
