Robert J. Blattner, age 61, of 158 Rose Ave, Fond du Lac, died Sunday, February 7, 2010 at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee. He was born on September 21, 1948 in Fond du Lac, the son of Clemens and Mavis (Hefter) Blattner. On October 23, 1971 he married Mary Lou Lefeber in Johnsburg. Robert underwent a heart transplant in April of 1993. He worked at Mercury Marine, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed feeding and watching birds and most of all enjoyed his grandchildren.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Mary Lou of Fond du Lac, two children, Michael Blattner of Fond du Lac, Melissa (Peyton) Mulholland of Fond du Lac, seven grandchildren, Samantha, Kevin, Courtni, Christopher, Rochlyn, Katelyn, Mathew, two brothers, Richard (Judi) Blattner of Fond du Lac, Donald (Nancy) Blattner of Valrico, FL, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Herbert Berghandler, one sister, Darlene Duescher, one granddaughter, Amber Blattner, and one grandson, Anthony Blattner.
Funeral Information
VISITATION: Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. FUNERAL: Friday, February 12, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.
