Madge C. Ormsby

Madge Carol (Groeschl) Ormsby (nee Roble) born in Fond du Lac, WI on April 6, 1926 to parents Edward and Evelyn Roble was granted eternal rest on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She married Robert F. Groeschl on July 3, 1950 at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. After Robert’s passing on September 9, 1989, she married Kenneth Ormsby in Fond du Lac on January 17, 1998 and moved to Hayward, WI, where they have resided to present day.



Madge performed secretarial work at various locations while raising seven children, including Giddings & Lewis, J E Burke Co and Taycheedah Correctional Facility. She called little attention to herself and was a devoted wife and mother. She had a passion for gardening and knitting.



Madge is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her children, Candyce (Joe) Trombley of Fond du Lac, Tom (Kay) Groeschl of Fond du Lac, Rick (Pam) Groeschl of Campbellsport, Doug (Kate) Groeschl of Chassel, MI, Jeff (Sue) Groeschl of Hayward, David (Sherry) Groeschl of Coeur d’Alene, ID, and Bill (Lynn) Groeschl of Iola; step sons, Bill (Robin) Ormsby of Glendale, AZ, Jim (Kathy) Ormsby of Medford, WY, and Terry Ormsby of Spooner; grandchildren, Daniel (Dawn) Scharf, Katherine (Joe) Jones, Ryan (Niki) Groeschl, Lee Groeschl, Loren (Molly) Groeschl, Maggie Groeschl, Tony (Stacey) Groeschl, Luke Groeschl, Ben (Erica) Groeschl, Chris (Rachel) Groeschl, Andy (Theresa) Groeschl, Winter Groeschl, Joshua Groeschl, Noah Groeschl, and Samuel Groeschl; great grandchildren, Ivan, Natalie, Briana, Weston, Blaise, Larkin, Tiffany, Hailey, Caleb, and Gabriella; and step grandchildren.



Along with Robert, she was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Wayne Roble, many in laws and other relatives.



At Madge’s request, private family services will be held and burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
