Rose M. Verdien

Rose M. Verdien, 97, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun where she had been a resident for the previous five years. She was born in Fond du Lac on February 7, 1920, a daughter of Charles and Habaka (Jacob) Buckarma. On August 24, 1950, she married Robert H. Verdien. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1989.



Rose loved her family and was generous with her grandchildren and extended family. She lived most her life in Fond du Lac, either on the lakefront or nearby. During the 1960’s, Rose co-owned the Diamond Restaurant with her brother, Caral, and served as manager.



Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia (Mark) Erickson of Illinois; four grandchildren, Jason Disbrow, Krista Hintz, Nathaniel (Jess) Disbrow and Zachary Disbrow; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and three sisters.



The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
