Estella S. Nett, age 83 of 364 3rd Street, died Sunday, November 12, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born in St. Peter on July 15,1923 the daughter of August and Catherine Gilles Schneider. On September 27,1945 she married Alfred "Al" G. Nett at St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter. Estella and Alfred were life-long Fond du Lac County residents and City of Fond du Lac residents since 1946. They were members of Holy Family-St. Joseph's Parish. Estella and Alfred enjoyed quilting, gardening, bird watching, woodworking and babysitting their grandchildren. Alfred "Al" Nett age 84 of 364 3rd Street, died Monday, November 13, 2006 at University Hospital & Clinics, Madison. He was born January 21,1922 in Marytown the son of John and Susan Korb Nett, Jr. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army 14th Armored Division European Theater. Alfred worked for C. J. Kleinhans, Chief Implement , and Blakely Auto Part's.Estella and Alfred are survived by four children, Thomas (Kathy) Nett, Spokane, Washington, twin-son, Andrew (Bonnie) Nett, Eldorado , twin daughter, Catherine Nett, North Fond du Lac, and Susan (Joe) Freda, Merrick, New York. Daughter-in-law, Susan (Richard) Dittmann, Shoreview, Minnesota, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, Estella's two sisters, Cordelia Bender, Newton, WI and Theresa Hilt, Lomira. Alfred is further survived by two brothers, Elmer (Esther) Nett, Marytown and Wilfred (Ann) Nett, Fond du Lac. Preceding them in death were their parents, one son James J. Nett, one sister, and four brothers of Mrs. Nett.



Friends may call on Thursday, November 16,2006 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Liturgy of the Word Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Ricardo Munoz officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75 will conduct military graveside services. At Alfred and Estella's requests their caskets will be closed.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
