Alois A. "Al" Bleuel

November 7, 1931 — February 10, 2008

Alois A. "Al" Bleuel of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 at his residence. He was born November 7, 1931, in Calvary Station, the son of Anthony and Marie Simon Petrie Bleuel. Alois attended elementary school in Calvary for Grade 1, and from 2nd to 8th Grade, he attended Mt. Calvary School. He later attended 9th and 10th Grades at Mt. Calvary High School. On April 24, 1954, he married his sweetheart, Marylyn Pitzen at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2004. Mr. Bleuel was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Church, Kohler Archery League, Gun Club, and Golf League. In 1961, Alois moved to Fond du Lac. He became involved in the Fondy SnowFlyers, becoming the club's 2nd President, and held memberships in the Elks Lodge #57, Eagles Aerie #270, and the Fond du Lac Yacht Club. Alois enjoyed windsurfing, water skiing, boating, and woodworking. Al was employed as a mason and then as an over the road truck driver, retiring in 1991. He then began a full-time career of completing construction projects for those he loved.Alois is survived by his wife, Marylyn; three children; Lee (Monica) Bleuel of Theresa, Eugene ( Danielle) Bleuel of Nashotah, and Melissa (Brian) Kees of Eldorado, eight grandchildren; Jesse, Breonna, Heather, Angela, all of Theresa, Jacob and Kaiden, of Nashotah, and Keely and Mariska Kees, of Eldorado. Two sisters, further survive him Mae (Anthony) Schmitz of Mt. Calvary, and Rita Immel of Calvary Station, and two sisters-in-law, Margie Hansen of Chilton, and Betty (Ambrose) Mueller of Plymouth. His parents and six brothers-in-law, Melvin, Marvin, Arlin, and Michael Pitzen, and Leo Hansen, and Lawrence Immel preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Alois A. "Al" Bleuel will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2008, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 14th, with family prayers at 10 am at the funeral home and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 93 Marquette Street. The Rev. Victor Capriolo will officiate and entombment will be in Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mr. Bleuel's name.
