Andrew C. Micklos

Andrew C. Micklos, 83, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 6, 2022 at St. Agnes Hospital, surrounded by his family, listening to Neil Diamond’s greatest hits. He was born June 26, 1939 in Fond du Lac, the son of Christ and Theodora (Chokas) Micklos. On February 24, 1963 he married the love of his life, Georgine DeMets at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

Andrew worked for Wells Manufacturing and retired as Senior Vice President of Sales. He was a past member of AHEPA, Kilowatt Club, and Fond du Lac Elks Lodge #57. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling, gambling, and watching the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers. Most of all he loved spending time and laughing with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Georgine; three children, Dawn (John) Flynn, Ellen (Brandon) Foss, and Christopher (Amanda Schmehil Micklos) Micklos; five grandchildren, Alec (Megan) Flynn, Zoe Flynn, Harrison Foss, Greysen Foss, and Olivia Micklos; two siblings, Nick Micklos and Dena Meyst; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Will Meyst.

The visitation will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the church. Burial will be held in Rienzi Cemetery.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Fond du Lac Dialysis Center and 5th Floor staff at St. Agnes Hospital for the care and compassion given to Andrew and his family.
