Hedreamed he was walking along the beachwith the LORD. Across the sky flashedscenes from his life. For eachscene he noticed two sets of footprints in thesand: one belonging to him, and the other tothe LORD. When the last scene of hislife flashed before him, he looked backat the footprints in the sand. He noticed thatmany times along the path of his life there wasonly one set of footprints. He also noticedthat it happened at the very lowest andsaddest time in his life. This really botheredhim and he questioned the LORD about it.LORD, you said that once I decided tofollow you, you'd walk with me all the way.But I have noticed that during the mosttroublesome times in my life, there is only oneset of footprints. I don't understand why whenI needed you most you would leave me.' TheLORD replied, 'My son, My precious child, Ilove you and I would never leave you. Duringyour times of trial and suffering when you seeonly one set of footprints, it was then that Icarried you.' -Author unknownAdditional information and guestbook can be found at www.ueckerwitt.comUecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
