Bernice B. Michler

Bernice B. Michler, 91 a resident of the St. Francis Home, died Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the nursing home. She was born on November 16, 1921 in Fond du Lac the daughter of Paul and Helen Segebarth Blumke. On September 28, 1946 she married Richard A. Michler at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Richard preceded her in death on March 29, 1982. Bernice was a 1944 graduate of the Milwaukee Lutheran School of Nursing. She was employed at Ripon Memorial Hospital, St. Agnes Hospital, Rolling Meadows Nursing Home and retired in 1984 from Mercury Marine where she served as a plant nurse in Plant 17. She was a member of St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church and at one time was a member of the Gleaners and the Ladies Aid. Bernice was also a member of the Lutheran Nurses Guild. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, eating, reading and sitting on the porch watching the birds.SURIVORS: Bernice is survived by her six children, Kathleen Bell, Broken Arrow, OK, Judy (Rev. David) Priebe, Seminole, FL, Charles Michler, Fond du Lac, Nancy Roloff, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Grace (Rob) Garritano, Carol Stream, IL and Sally (Daniel) Grimmer, Hilbert. She is further survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Kenneth Blumke, Fond du Lac and Walter Blumke, North Fond du Lac. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two son-in-laws Rick Roloff , and Bruce Bell, one brother Raymond Blumke, two sisters, infant Dorothea and Hazel Dille.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 South Main Street, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Matthew Guse officiating. Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.A memorial is being established.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. For more information go to www.ueckerwitt.com
