Betty E. Odekirk

Betty E. Odekirk, 91, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born in Fond du Lac on August 16, 1924, the only child of George and Margaret (Werner) Schallog. On October 25, 1947, she married Lowell Odekirk at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2004.



Surviving Betty are 2 children; Dean (Pat) and Lorna (Loron) Bock; 5 grandchildren, Matthew (Sara) Odekirk, Theresa, Katie, Will and Rachel Bock; 2 great-grandchildren, Kristen and Kelly Odekirk; sister-in-law, Audrey Heruth; brother-in-law, Eldon (Jennifer) Odekirk; many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her special friend and neighbor, Bonnie Anheuser. Betty was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother-in-law, Donald Odekirk.



Visitation for Betty will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 606 Forest Ave. in Fond du Lac. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with Rev. James Borgwardt officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services and burial will occur at a later date in Estabrooks Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Betty’s memory to Redeemer Lutheran Church and/or Winnebago Lutheran Academy (WLA).
