Bruce G. Hagie

April 22, 1951 — March 12, 2022

Bruce G. Hagie passed away at home in Eldorado with Brenda by his side, in the early morning of March 12, 2022, at the age of 70, after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. He was born on April 22, 1951, to Donald and Josephine Hagie in Neillsville Wisconsin. The family moved to Oshkosh in 1961, where Bruce attended and graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1969. After he served in the US Navy for two years, he drove truck for Pepsi Cola Company. In 1979 he began his truck driving career at Mercury Marine in Oshkosh, and continued at Mercury Marine High Performance, Plant 36 in Fond du Lac. This is when and where he and Brenda’s friendship began. He worked at Mercury until 2009 and then drove truck for Valley Express in Oshkosh, retiring in 2016.

Bruce loved bass fishing and ice fishing with his good friend Gregg Gerstmeyer, and huting and sturgeon spearing with his buddy Mike Lakin. He and Brenda enjoyed going out to eat or breakfast, Friday fish fry’s and of course for old fashions during double bubble at Blanck’s on the Lake, which was their favorite. After retirement, Bruce and Brenda spent a lot more time fishing their lucky spots in Waupaca, Wautoma, And Green Lake. You could frive by their house anytime and would see them sitting on their swing in the front yard with their dogs, watching the birds that Bruce loved to feed, Orioles and Hummingbirds being his favorites.

He will be deeply missed and survived by his life partner of 21 years, Brenda Bublitz of Eldorado and their dogs Abby, Willow, Izzy, and Molly. A sister, Sandra Moths (Terry) of New Berlin and a nephew Casey. Son Chris Windels (Heidi) of Minneapolis MN, and granddaughter Bea. Daughter Laura Mangold (Scott) of Oshkosh and grandsons Noah and Ben.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Josephine Hagie and his son Scott Hagie.

At Bruce’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Bruce will be buried at Estabrook Cemetery in Fond du Lac.

Services are in the care of Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 North Park Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Additional information and guestbook can be found at ueckerwitt.com
