Cairn A. Acord

Cairn A. Acord, 79, was called home to her Father in Heaven on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in hospice at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cairn was born to Robert and Margaret (Traynor) Calam of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. She graduated from the Sault Collegiate Institute (SCI) in 1961. Cairn received her LPN degree from MPTC in 1974. She was an incredible nurse at St. Agnes Hospital for over 40 years, where she deeply cared for her patients and their families. She loved nursing and her patients loved her. On January 17,1997 she married Robert Acord at St. Louis Catholic Church. Cairn was a wonderful, loving, optimistic, fun, spunky mother and grandmother. She always put her family first, and truly valued “what money can't buy”. She enjoyed spending time with her family, kick-boxing, working out, reading, traveling the world, feeding a plethora of birds and watching the animals in her yard.



She is survived by her three children, Tara (Van) Dusenberry of Utah, Dr. Richard (Leanne) Faris II of Pennsylvania, Mark (Susan) Faris of Florida; eight grandchildren, Hannah, Ben, Seth, Cammi, Ethan, Connor, Caleb, and Chloe; and brother, Dr. Roger (Barbara) Calam of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; sister, Mary; and granddaughter, Olivia.



The visitation will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.



In lieu of flowers, memorials in Cairn’s name are appreciated to Agnesian Hospice.
