Clarence A. Neumann

Clarence A. Neumann, 86, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, September 17, 2007, at St. Francis Home. He was born January 2, 1921, in Hillpoint, WI, the son of John and Anna Kaun Neumann. On April 24, 1946, he married Arlene Peper at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hillpoint. Mr. Neumann was a member of Church of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran. He was the owner-operator of Neumann Trucking, Inc. Clarence was a veteran of WW II serving with the 8th Air Force as a tail gunner on a B-24 Liberator bomber. He was a longtime member of the Tuesday Nite Parkway Lanes Businessmen's League where he established many friendships.Surviving is his wife, Arlene, a daughter, Janet (Charles) Halfman and a son, Terry (Sue) Neumann, both of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren; Aaron Halfman, Aubrey Neumann, Ashley Neumann, Alyssa Halfman, and Michael Neumann. He is further survived by a sister, Margaret Riley of Waunakee, WI, and a sister-in-law, June Neumann of Fond du Lac. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents, a brother, Gerhardt "Jerry" Neumann, and a brother-in-law, Ralph Riley, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Clarence A. Neumann will be on Friday, September 21, 2007, from 4to 8pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Saturday, September 22 from 11 am until noon at Church. Funeral services will be at 12 noon at the church. The Rev. Robert Rosenburg will officiate and entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established in Mr. Neumann's name. Additional information and guestbook may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com.
