Clarence F. Gudex

Clarence F. Gudex, Sr., 84, of 498 Wisconsin Court, Fond du Lac, died Thursday, April 06, 2006, at his residence. He was born April 13, 1921, in the Town of Eden, the son of George W. and Eleanor Will Gudex. On November 7, 1939, he married Imelda Gundert at Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary. She preceded him in death on April 22, 1997. Mr. Gudex was a member of Church of The Presentation in North Fond du Lac. Clarence formerly farmed in the Mt. Calvary area, and later was employed by Cyril Simon Excavating, J.E. Burke Company, Presentation Church as a custodian, and the Village of North Fond du Lac. He retired in 1984.Surviving are two sons, Duane (Diana) Gudex of Glenbeulah, and Clarence(Special Friend, Tammi Bastian) "Butch" Gudex, Jr., of Malone, three daughters, Judy Buelow of North Fond du Lac, Linda (Paul) Kind and Nancy (Jack) Guell, all of Fond du Lac, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He is further survived by a sister, Rosella (Ray) Siebert of Greenleaf, a half-brother, Anthony (Edith) Faul of St. Cloud, four step-sisters, Marie Smith of Sun Prairie, Lucille Nett of Fond du Lac, Irene Pickart of Calvary Station, and Marcella (Dick) Thome of Mt. Calvary. A sister-in-law, Gloria Gudex of Ripon, also survives him. His parents, wife, a daughter, Dorothy Gudex (9-29-46), a grandson, Troy Albert, a brother, George Gudex, and a sister, Mary Ziegelbauer, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Clarence F. Gudex, Sr., will be on Sunday, April 9, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 10, 2006, at 10 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Church of the Presentation in North Fond du Lac. The Rev. John Simon will officiate and burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Mr. Gudex's name.
