Clifford C. Johnson

Clifford C. Johnson, Sr., 87, of 5159 N. Harbour Drive, Butte De Morts, WI, died Monday, February 13, 2006, at the Omro Care Center in Omro. He was born August 5, 1918, in Somers, WI, the son of Charles O. and Florence Robinson Johnson. On November 12, 1938, he married Marie Kretlow in Dubuque, IA. She preceded him in death in October of 1951. He later married Betty Ruth Kushman on April 7, 1956, in Waukegan, IL. She preceded him in death on January of 1994. Mr. Johnson formerly was a service manager for the Ford dealership of Kenosha, owned and operated a bait shop and tavern in Iola, WI, and was employed by Rolling Meadows Nursing Home as a maintenance man. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from June 23, 1944 to November 27, 1945, and was a survivor of the Battle of The Bulge.Surviving are two daughters, Judith (Daniel) Everett of Charlotte, NC and Sandra (Norman) Krause of Oshkosh, four sons, Clifford (Joan) Johnson, Jr., Larry (Bernice) Johnson, and Randy (Marlene) Johnson, all of Fond du Lac, and Blair (Terry Jo) Johnson of Shawano, 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Harriet Johnson, and special friends, Bernice Smith and Wilma Kannegeiter, all of Butte De Morts. His parents, two wives, a granddaughter, Teresa Johnson, and a sister, Virginia Godlewski preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Clifford C. Johnson, Sr., will be on Friday, February 17, 2006, from 9 to 11 am at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday at 11 am at the funeral home.
