Cynthia A. Brueggeman

August 27, 1946 — January 29, 2021

Cynthia A. Brueggeman, 74, died Friday, January 29, 2021 at Sage Meadows in Fond du Lac. She was born in West Bend on August 27, 1946 to Raymond and Erna (Mc Farlane) Erickson. Cynthia graduated from Kewauskum High School.

Cynthia cherished her time with family, especially with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Nema”. She enjoyed thrift shopping and reminiscing about the good ol’ days with family and friends. Cynthia loved listening, singing and dancing to music, especially Johnny Cash! She will always be remembered for having a kind and generous heart and for putting others first. Cynthia was strong-willed, playful, possessed a sassy personality and had a wonderful sense of humor. Most important were the beautiful memories she made with her family and friends. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Cynthia spent her entire career caring for others. She spent the last twenty years of her career working in the memory care program at ManorCare Health Services (now Edenbrook of Fond du Lac).

Survivors include her three children, Michele Curry, Brian Brueggeman (Becky Wolfe) and Angela (Chad) Peschke; her “forever” son-in-law, Michael Curry; six beloved grandchildren,

Bradley Seibel (Caleb Zerbst), Justice Curry (Fiancé Julia Cole), Samuel Curry, Noah Peschke (Shaina Boehnlein), Mason Peschke, and Allie Buer; and a great grand-daughter, Addison Buer.

She is further survived by her sister, Shelby (Darryl) Hills; two brothers, Niles (Dorothy) Erickson and Dennis Erickson; two sisters-in-law, Delores Erickson and Elaine Brielle; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Ronald Erickson, Gerald Erickson and Marlyn Erickson; two sisters-in-law, Helga Erickson and Mary Erickson; and beloved nieces and nephews, Donna Erickson, Lee Erickson, Rev. Ryan Erickson and Christopher Erickson.
