Daniel L. Griffin

Daniel L. Griffin, age 91, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was born on September 1, 1931, in Fond du Lac, the son of Eugene and Marie (Rindle) Griffin. Dan was in the United States Air Force and the National Guard and served in the Korean War. On September 29, 1961, he married Shirley Batson at Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2019. Dan worked at Mercury for 42 years until retiring in 1997. He was a member of Church of Peace. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include five children, Cheryl Lorenzen, Cindy (John) Farvour, John Griffin, Joel Griffin, and James (Lucinda) Griffin; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Daniel Wyrobeck; sister-in-law, Gloria (William) Guenther; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers; two sisters.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 12 noon at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will follow the service at Estabrooks Cemetery.
