Donald A. Schumacher Donald A. Schumacher, 82, of N9251 Schoe Road, Town of Friendship, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born May 10, 1929, in the Town of Eldorado, the son of Edwin and Edna Schultz. On May 12, 1950, he married Gloria J. Laude in Oshkosh. Mr. Schumacher was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nekimi. He farmed in the Van Dyne area his entire life. He was a former member of the Van Dyne volunteer fire department and the Van Dyne Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed combining, spending time with his family, playing sheepshead, bowling, and watching Packer and Brewer games on TV. Surviving is his wife, Gloria, five sons, Jan (Bonnie) Schumacher of Fond du Lac, Gayle (Michelle) Schumacher of Horicon, Brian (Carla) Schumacher and Chris (Sharon) Schumacher, both of Van Dyne, and Scott (Roseann) Schumacher of Mt. Calvary, a daughter, Julie (Greg) Strean of Van Dyne, 17 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He is further survived by four sisters, Orma (Bill) Levenhagen of Oshkosh, Verna (Eugene) Miller of Oshkosh, JoAnn Willey of Fond du Lac, and Sharon (Lee) Warner of Oshkosh, and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Schumacher of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Donald, two grandchildren, Eric Schumacher and Emily Ann Schumacher, two brothers, Gaylord and Lyle Schumacher, and a brother-in-law, Mark Willey.



Visitation for Donald A. Schumacher will be on Sunday, August 14, 2011, from 11 AM to 2 PM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 491 Old Oregon Road, Nekimi. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Sunday at the church. The Rev. James Reiff will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
