Donald A. Thuerwachter

Donald A. Thuerwachter, 83, of 565 Morris Street, died Monday June 12, 2006, at the Hospice Home of Hope. He was born March 27, 1923, in Fond du Lac, the son of Bergen and Katherine Strebe Thuerwachter. He was a 1940 graduate from Fond du Lac High School. Donald was a veteran of WW II serving with the United States Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946. He was employed by the Soo Line Railroad for 36 years, retiring in 1983. Donald was a member of Sutherland Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of Fond du Lac for 44 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and machining early model engines.Donald is survived by cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Rolland.



Graveside services will be on June 14, 2006, at 3:00 P.M. at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Martin Koehler will officiate. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct graveside military rites.Memorials appreciated to Hospice Home of Hope.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is serving the family.
