Donald F. Zima, 70, of W9307 Blewett Road, Town of Eldorado, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 18, 2006. He was born July 21, 1935, in Antigo, the son of Frank and Helen Krysl Zima. On June 22, 1968, he married Dorothy Hoeft in Antigo. Mr. Zima was formerly employed by Mercury Marine as a truck driver, retiring in 1998, after 32 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1961 to 1963. Donald was a past trustee of St. Mary's Church-Eldorado and was a member of Eagles Aerie #270, and the Eldorado Lions Club. He enjoyed the Packers, golf, his retirement job of farming, selling Christmas trees, and spending time with his grandchildren.Surviving is his wife, Dorothy, his children, Terri (Tom) Huettl, Jr., of Fond du Lac, Tim (Sue) Zima of Oshkosh, Michele (Jeff) Marggi of Oregon, WI, and Matt (Courtney) Zima of Menasha, eight grandchildren, Sydney, Lauren, Mitchell, Megan, Lakin, Hayden, Zander, and Mason. He is also survived by three sisters, Aggie (Ken) Husnick and Lorraine (Floyd) Frisch, both of Antigo, and Mary Brown of Schofield, WI, and two sisters-in-law, Elaine (Ed) Simon of Merrill, WI, and Pat Hoeft of Marion, WI. Nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends further survive him. His parents, mother and father-in-law, Bill and Eleanore Hoeft, and two brothers-in-law, Harold and Dick Hoeft, preceded him in death.



Visitation for Mr. Donald F. Zima will be on Sunday, May 21, 2006, from 4 to 8 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, and on Monday, May 22, from 9 to 10 am at Our Risen Savior Church in Woodhull. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am on Monday at the church. The Rev. John Simon will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Mission Church Cemetery.
