Donald J. Odekirk, 66 of W2727 Highway F, Campbellsport, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at his residence.He was born on August 11, 1940 at the family homestead in Campbellsport the son of Donald R. Odekirk and Lucille A. Dieringer. On June 30,1962 he married Sandra "Sandy" L. Lemke at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. Don was a graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy Class of 1958. After graduation from school he enlisted in the U. S. Navy retiring as a chief petty officer in 1978. After retiring from the service he worked at Wells Manufacturing for 5 years and later was employed with Mercury Marine for 35 years retiring in 2002. He was a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, the Tuesday Night Mercury Men's Golf League where he served as secretary for many years. Don enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, and hunting.Survivors include his wife, Sandra "Sandy" L. Odekirk, Campbellsport, a daughter, Lori (friend Greg Mohr) Odekirk, Campbellsport, son. Alan (Michelle) Odekirk, Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, Kayla Driscoll, Megan and Mallory Odekirk. His mother Lucille Odekirk, Campbellsport, one brother, Thomas (Sandra) Odekirk, Fond du Lac, a sister Linda (Duane) Pieper, Campbellsport, mother-in-law, LaVerne Lemke, Fond du Lac, Sister and brother-in-laws, Peter and Sue Friess, Robert and Sherry Schaub, Dale and Shelly Simon, all of Fond du Lac, and nieces and nephews, numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones. Don was preceded in death by his father Donald R. Odekirk, and father-in-law Harry Lemke.



VISITATION: Thursday, January 25, 2007 from 3 to 9 P.M. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, January 26, 2007 at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church. Reverend Fred Toppe will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Veteran's Wall of Honor at Ledgeview Memorial Park. Trier-Puddy American Legion Post No. 75 will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 A.M. to the hour of services on Friday. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
