Dorothy J. Paige, 92, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 20, 1921 in Ashford, WI, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Strobel) Jaeger. On June 25, 1941, Dorothy was united in marriage to Richard Paige at St. Louis Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Above all, Dorothy loved her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. In addition, she was an avid gardener throughout her life, was known to be an excellent baker, and enjoyed to crotchet and knit. Dorothy raised four daughters, held various part and full-time jobs, including working as a dental assistant, working at the Beer Hut, and for the Wright Brothers Box Factory. She was also a proud member of the St. Anne Mission Society of St. Louis Catholic Church. She is survived by four daughters; Nancy (Richard) Abig of Fond du Lac, Patty (Jerry) McClone of Crystal Lake, IL, Dianne (Peter) Smith of Villas, New Jersey and Mary (Jerry) Giese of Fond du Lac, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five sisters, seven brothers and two grandsons.



A visitation for Dorothy will be held from 11-2 P.M. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. A Liturgy of the Word funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 P.M.
