Douglas E. Williston

Douglas E. Williston, 74, of Fond du Lac, died peacefully with family by his side, Monday, November 28, 2022 at St. Francis Home. He was born January 11, 1948 in Pound, WI, the son of Allen and Ann (Wheeler) Williston. After graduation Douglas served in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He worked as a correctional officer at Dodge Correctional Facility and retired in 1999 from Oshkosh Correctional Facility. He enjoyed fishing and loved riding his Harley on trips.

He is survived by two sons, Bobbie (Deb) Williston of Oakfield and Daniel Williston of Fond du Lac; several grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Williston of Madison; and two sisters-in-law, Doris Williston of Boise, ID and Sue Williston of Beloit. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brother, Jim Williston and George Williston; and sister-in-law, Patricia Williston.

At Douglas’ request cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
