Elliot R. Pickett

Elliot R. Pickett, 75, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, February 17, 2022 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born February 6, 1947 in Oshkosh, the son of Searl and Helen (Nintzel) Pickett. On September 14, 1968 he married Candy Bethke at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. He graduated from St. Mary Springs High School in 1965.



Elliot worked for Mercury Marine until his retirement in 2008. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. Elliot was a board member and Past President of Fond du Lac Blue Line Hockey Association, where he was very active in coaching, volunteering, and running the concessions. He enjoyed camping, was a collector of many things, and loved his grandchildren. Family was very important to Elliot.



He is survived by his wife, Candy; three sons, Chad (Karri) Pickett of North Fond du Lac, Brad Pickett of Fond du Lac and Kyle Pickett of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Jacob, Jadeyn, Chance, and Cooper; one brother, Searl Pickett of Appleton; one sister-in-law, Robyn (Wayne) Miller of Shawano; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Anna June; and sister-in-law, Sally Pickett.



At Elliot’s request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
