Elsie Strelow

August 19, 1925 — September 21, 2013

Elsie Strelow, 88 of Fond du Lac, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Hospice Home of Hope. She was born on August 19, 1925 in Helena, Montana the daughter of Fredrick and Pauline Paul Meisner. On September 13, 1947 she married Russell P. Strelow at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church. Russell preceded her in death on September 13, 1978. Elsie loved to dance, was an avid bowler, excellent cook, and a country music lover. She was never seen without an angel pin on her lapel. But above all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.SURVIVORS: Elsie is survived by one son Terry (Bonnie) Strelow, Fond du Lac, five daughters; Yvonne (Glenn) Miller, Fond du Lac, Marcia (Gordy) Moulton, Hungry Horse, Montana , Cindy (Jim) Preller, Grayslake, IL, Laurie (Doug) Miller, Fond du Lac, Jodi (Mark) Sheldon, Sheboygan, fifteen grandchildren; Chad (Heidi), Craig, Cory (Krista), Brianne Strelow, Russ (Hilde), Matt (Amy) and Caitlin Miller, Eric (Sara) and Jenny Moulton, Alex, Casey, and Jake Miller, Cole, Brett, and Julia Sheldon, nine great-grandchildren; Grace and Greta Strelow, Lily and Isabel Miller, Sawyer and Marcella Miller, Madison, Lyla and Harper Moulton.She is further survived by one brother Eugene (Betty) Meisner, Tucson, Arizona, and one sister Betty Hall, Fond du Lac and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three infant brothers, two brothers Albert and Jerry Meisner and four sisters, Helen Williston, Mary Reich, Alma Roth and Barbara Daley, and special friend Larry Michels.



VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Thursday, September 26 from 10 AM at the church.FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Peace. Burial will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park."Thank you to the staff and volunteers of Hospice Home of Hope for their compassionate care.
