Ethel Tonn

Ethel Tonn, age 82, of Fond du Lac died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born on March 29, 1934 in Copenhagen, Denmark, the daughter of Karl and Sine (Kristensen) Neilsen. Ethel came to Cable, WI in 1960 from Denmark. On November 30, 1963 she married the love of her life, Norman Tonn. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1983. Ethel worked as the Personnel Manager at JC Penney’s for over twenty seven years and she also was a seamstress at Edith’s for many years. She and her husband were very active in the Folk Festival. Ethel loved animals and always supported the local Humane Society wherever she lived. Most of all Ethel was a phenomenal mother.



SURVIVORS: two daughters, Irena (Norman Pinkerton) Tonn of Oshkosh, Tina (Katherine) Tonn of Milwaukee; one granddaughter, Norah Rose of DePere; one great-granddaughter, Ember Rose of DePere. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Rose Neilsen.



Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 10:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
