Forrest E. Wolf

Forrest E. Wolf, 85, of Lamartine, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac. He was born September 26, 1929 in Lamartine, the son of Irving and Clarissa Lingenfelder Wolf. On May 6, 1950 he married LaVerne J. Abraham at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac and she preceded him in death on May 13, 2014. Forrest was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He lived in Atlanta, GA, while working for the National Enquirer until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the American Legion Post #75, past president of the Top Hats Motorcycle Club in the 1950’s and 60’s, and the Fond du Lac Vintage Auto Club. Forrest loved to ride his Harley Davidson and take care of his antiques automobiles.



He is survived by his sister-in-law, Fern Wolf of Marquette, MI; niece, Shirley (Joe) Roberts of Fond du Lac; nephew, Ronald Cohen of Fond du Lac; many other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, LaVerne; one brother, Richard Wolf; three sisters, Rachel Le Que, Ethel (John) Bickelhaupt, and Alvina Cohen; and nephews, James Le Que and Robert Le Que, Sr.



The visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Chaplain Pam Wirth officiating. Burial will follow in Avoca Cemetery in Oakfield.



In lieu of flowers memorials in Forrest’s name can be made to Agnesian Hospice Hope.
