Francis Eugene "Red" Kruncos

Francis Eugene “Red” Kruncos, age 79, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, June 14, 2015. He was born in Blue Island, IL on August 9, 1935 to Peter and Celia (Martin) Kruncos. The family moved to Rhinelander, WI, when he was young. There he met Carmen Towne, and they were married at St. Joseph’s Church on June 18, 1960. Francis attended technical school in Rhinelander and Wausau. They moved to Fond du Lac in 1967. Fran worked at Mercury Marine as an Electrical Engineer in the division of High Performance Racing for twenty-three years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, mechanics, and electronics.



He is survived by his wife Carmen of fifty-five years; brother, Paul Kruncos of Schofield, WI; sisters-in-law Jean Kruncos of Schofield, WI, and Joyce Towne of Rhinelander; children, Jennie (Donald) Masanz of Oshkosh, Thomas (Cheryl) Kruncos of Fond du Lac, Carol (James) Stirn of Savage, MN, and William (Kay) Kruncos of Fond du Lac. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Adam Eiler, Arielle Brinkman, Elayna and Alexa Stirn, Megan and Ashlynn Kruncos, Michelle (Nick) Bierman, Michael (Megan) Milloy, and four great grandchildren: Josselyn and Milo Bierman, Nathan and Zachary Milloy; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter.



VISITATION: Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 4-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. FUNERAL: Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Friday at Calvary Cemetery.
