Francis "Frank" Hernandez

Francis “Frank” J. Hernandez, age 82, of North Fond du Lac, died Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Adelaide Place. He was born on April 9, 1935 in Fond du Lac, the son of Manuel and Bernice Hernandez. On February 11, 1956 he married Judith Mary Anderson at St. Patrick’s Church in Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on September 18, 1997. Frank retired from Mercury after twenty-five years. He ran Super Wash Car Wash for a number of years and loved talking to people there and was always talking to people wherever he went. Frank also enjoyed working on cars.



Survivors include three children, Carol Hernandez of Madison, Julie (Joe) Lewis of Oshkosh, Tom Hernandez of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Sarah Wilson, Ashley (Matt) Manthey, David Wilson, Lindsey (fiancé Seth McNinch) Hernandez; four great-grandchildren, Lilliana Wilson, Levi Liedke, Elle and William Manthey; siblings, Rosie (Richard Bernath) Hernandez, Shirley Abler, Patti (Steve) Commo; special friend, Rosie Dean and her dog, Sassy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Judith; one grandson Derek Hernandez; five siblings, Benny, Joe, Mary Lou, Mary, and Margaret.



Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 28, 2017 from 1-4 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Cremation will follow the visitation and internment will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
