Glenn L. "Butch" Schinke

Glenn L. "Butch" Schinke, Jr., age 65, died Tuesday, June 01, 2010, at his residence after a long battle with cancer. He was born August 8, 1944, in Merrill, WI, the son of Glenn and Dolores Hoffman Schinke, Sr. On August 11, 1995, he married Linda Wiese in Fond du Lac. Brenner Tank employed Glenn for 22 years as a welder. He retired in 2007. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from August of 1962 to March of 1967, including a tour in Vietnam, and retired from the military as a Sergeant. Glenn enjoyed playing golf, cribbage, and dancing. Surviving is his wife, Linda, three daughters, Maria Braford of Fond du Lac, Kim Pemberton of Kelseybelle, CA, and Jena (Don) Incha of Antigo, a son, Heath (Holly) Schinke of Merrill, WI, six grandchildren, Ashley, Zoe, Dylan, Heather, Keith, and Alexandra Ann, a brother, Kenneth (Lee) Schinke of Brookfield, WI, and five sisters, Shirley Gundrum of Slinger, WI, Sandy (Kevin) Bennett of Rapid River, MI, Linda (Frank) Heinrich of Brookfield, WI, Terry (Tom) Zimmerman of Cedarburg, WI, and Maria "Sas" (Andy) Wittliff of South Milwaukee. He is further survived by his father and mother-in-law, Kenny (Betty) Wiese of Fond du Lac, three sisters-in-law, Mary Tackett of Fond du Lac, Judy (Kurt) Moore of Malone, Cindy (Mark) Peterson of Eden, and a brother-in-law, Bill Krueger of Oakfield. Also surviving are two special friends, Dave (Dorie) Howell, and Lyle (Jean) Thornsby, all of Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. His parents, a brother-in-law, Tom Gundrum, and a sister-in-law, Helen Krueger preceded him in death.



Visitation for Glenn L. "Butch" Schinke will be on Friday, June 4, 2010, from 1 to 5 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 5 PM at the funeral home. The Rev. Christopher Goelzer will officiate and cremation will follow traditional services.
