Gregory J. Gilgenbach

Gregory J. Gilgenbach, 98, of St. Peter died Friday, October 19, 2007 at Villa Loretto. He was born the son of Nicholas and Margaret Halfman Gilgenbach on September 11, 1909 in St. Peter. On June 10, 1934 he married Leona Nett at St. Peter Catholic Church and she preceded him in death in March of 1941. In March of 1955 he married Hazel Fagan at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and she preceded him in death in August 1970. Gregory was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Peter. He was owner/operator of Frank Nett Co. until his retirement in 1973. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.SURVIVORS: one daughter, Ruth (Bill) Schommer, North Fond du Lac; one son, Gerald (Janet) Gilgenbach, St. Peter; seven grandchildren, David (Denise) Schommer, Michael (Diane) Schommer, John (Carla) Schommer, Julie (Mike) Georg, Lynn (Brian) Wilderman, Blayn (Kim) Washington, Julian (Britni) Washington; 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, two daughters, Edith Gilgenbach and Devota Washington; two brothers, Leo and Hubert; two sisters, Dora Blatz and Marie Huberty; two half brothers, Edward and Julius Gilgenbach; one half sister, Belle.



VISITATION: will be from 11 AM "“ 12 PM on Monday, October 22, 2007 at Holy Family Parish, St. Peter Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12 PM on Monday at the church with Rev. Vic Capriolo officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Parish Cemetery.In lieu of flowers a memorial in Gregory's name will be established. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
