Helen C. Cutler

Helen Markheim Cutler, 86, of 447 Stow Street, Fond du Lac, died peacefully on November 25, 2005 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 15, 1919, in Fond du Lac to Jacob and Katie (nee Trott) Markheim.On May 3, 1939, she married Donald Cutler of North Fond du Lac at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Surviving are loving husband of 66 years, Donald Cutler; son Thomas (and wife Janet [nee Wilhelms]) Cutler of Green Bay; granddaughter Sherri Cutler (and husband Ford) Willoughby, of Oak Park, Illinois; grandson Nicholas (and wife Erin) Cutler of Green Bay; and great-granddaughters Ruby and Tess Willoughby of Oak Park, Illinois. Also surviving are sister Florence Abbs, brother Marc (Nancy) Trott, sister-in-law Judith (Al) Pedersen, brothers-in-law, Walter Schuppe, and Robert Simon, and many other relatives including nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harry and wife Ginny Markheim, sister Eleanor (Markheim) Schuppe, sister Delores (Markheim, Tabbert) Simon, brother-in-law, Norman Tabbert, sister-in-law Beatrice (Cutler, Schmidt) Thompson, brother-in-law Gene Schultz, and brother-in-law Howard Abbs.Helen was a lifelong member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. She graduated from Goodrich Highschool and took classes at Moraine Park Technical Institute. She worked for Remington's Drug Store, Foot Support Shoe Store, and retired after 20 years with Gilmore's Liquor Store. She belonged to many golf leagues, loved to play cards, and was an avid Wisconsin sports fan.
