James E. Gurno

James E. Gurno, 70, of Fond du Lac, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 2, 2013 after a long, courageous battle with heart disease and cancer. He was born March 16, 1942 in Fond du Lac, the son of Edward and Emma Roth Gurno. James graduated from the school of Chicago in 1964. On July 20, 1963 he married Sandra Mueller at the Church of Peace, with Rev. Koehler officiating. He was employed by Beloit Pipe and Dredge, Al's Alignment, Keller Alignment and the City of Fond du Lac Dept. of Public Works. James was a Green Bay Packer fan and an avid fisherman and hunter until his illness.He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra; his daughter, Rhonda Gurno, Fond du Lac; one sister, Donna Russel, West Allis; four brothers, David (Joann) Gurno, Richard (Chris) Gurno, Donald Gurno, Edward (Jane) Gurno, all of Fond du Lac; five brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Beryl) Mueller, South Beloit, Larry Mueller, Rockford, IL, David (Cindy) Mueller, Fond du Lac, Lynn Mueller, Denver, CO, Jeffrey (Mary) Mueller, Darboy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Shirley Altman; a brother-in-law, Fritz Altman; his father-in-law, Arthur Mueller and his mother-in-law, Lillian Blader; many aunts and uncles.



The visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 10 AM "“ 1 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Rosenberg officiating. Entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
