James R. Mackenzie

James R. MacKenzie, 80, of Cty. Tk. K, Fond du Lac, died unexpectedly of an aortic aneurysm on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital, Green Bay. He was born on July 8, 1927, the son of James and Harriet Jacobs MacKenzie in Menominee, MI. On December 10, 1949 he married Blanche M. Sweet at St. Joseph's Church, Fond du Lac. James was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School Class of 1945. He served with the Army Air Corp during WWII. James worked for Wisconsin Bell for 35 years retiring in 1982. He was a past president of the AFL/CIO local union. He was also a duck carver for 25 years. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his grandchildren and loved playing BINGO.SURVIVORS: his wife, Blanche; three children, Diane (Howard) Wagan, Glendale, James (Susan) MacKenzie, Chagrin Falls, OH, Suzanne (Timothy) Cunningham, Cumming, GA; seven grandchildren, Ian and Jonah Wagan, James, Robert, Alexa and Patrick MacKenzie, Colleen Cunningham; one brother, Robert (Catherine) MacKenzie, St. George, UT; cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant twin sons, one sister, Mary Katherine MacKenzie.



VISITATION: will be from 11am-1pm on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
