Janet K. (Wolk) GardnerJanet K. (Wolk) Gardner, 55 of 381 E. Merrill Avenue, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 21, 1950, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Peter and Theresa (Carrollo) Wolk. On September 5, 1975, she married William Gardner in Fond du Lac. Janet was a 1968 graduate of St. Mary's Springs Academy and was employed in the business office at Agnesian Healthcare. She enjoyed country music concerts, craft fairs, and daylong getaways with family and friends, but her most enjoyable moments were spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving is her husband, William, two sons, Shane (Anna) Gardner of Madison, and Shawn (Michelle) Gardner of Fond du Lac, two granddaughters, Samantha and Alexis and two step grandchildren, Tabitha and Zach, all of Fond du Lac, and three sisters, Bonnie (Special Friend, Lee Salzman) Verges, Carol (Rollie) Chase, and Mary (Mark) Strand, all of Fond du Lac, and her mother, Theresa Wolk of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Joyce Gardner of Fond du Lac, a sister-in-law, Kathy (Gregg) Heiman of Fond du Lac, two brothers-in-law, Jim (Special Friend Stacy) Gardner of Campbellsport, and John (Special Friend Cheryl) Gardner of Waupun, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends. Her father, Peter Wolk, father-in-law, Joseph Gardner, and maternal and paternal grandparents preceded her in death.



Visitation for Janet K. (Wolk) Gardner will be on Friday, December 30, 2005, from 10 am to 1 pm at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word for Christian Burial will be at 1 pm at the funeral home on Friday. The Rev.Victor Capriolo will officiate and entombment will be in Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Janet's name, and proceeds will be donated to Relay for Life.The family wishes to extend a thank you to the employees of Wisconsin Central Cancer Center and St. Agnes Hospice Hope for their care. A special thank you to all those who showed their support.
