Janet R. Barton

Our wonderful and loving mother, Janet R. Barton, passed away in her own home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. She was born in Fond du Lac on October 30, 1939, a daughter of Eugene and Ruth (Fischer) Thayer. On May 27, 1977, Janet married Russell Barton in Fond du Lac. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2007.



Janet is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Grabowski of Peshtigo and Sue Thorsby of Fond du Lac; 4 step-children, Linda (Bob) Scheuers, Greg Barton, Deeann (Bruce) Burroughs and Duwayne Barton, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Janet was also survived by many loving and caring friends who have always been there for each other. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Richard and a grandson, Chad Thorsby.



Visitation for Janet will be held from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Friday, May 15, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Service will take place at 6:00 PM with Rev. Bill Beaton officiating. Private family burial will take place Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Avoca Cemetery in Oakfield.



Our family wishes to thank Agnesian Hospice Hope and the Agnesian Cancer Center for their care of mom. Also, a special thank you to Chris of St. Agnes Hospital; a very loving and helpful friend.
