Jean M. Munson

Jean M. Munson, age 81, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, October 27, 2016. She was born on September 25, 1935 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Elmer and Marie (Wurtzel) Andrews. On October 15, 1960 she married Kenneth R. Munson at Church of Peace. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2012. Jean loved spending summers at the cottage in Manitowish Waters. She was an avid bowler. She loved dogs, and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Jean was very family orientated and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



Survivors include two daughters, Sue Maurice of Woodruff, Jill (Chris Buchner) Pauly of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren, Matthieu (Samantha White) Maurice and Emily Maurice both of Woodruff, Amber (Matt) Christenson of Fond du Lac, and Brittney Hafermann of Fond du Lac; three very special great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Jacob Christenson, and Chase Hafermann; one brother, Roy (Patti) Andrews of Fond du Lac; one brother-in-law, Donald Munson of Fond du Lac; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Jasper. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; two brothers, Robert and Elmer “Andy” Andrews; one brother-in-law, Harold Munson; four sisters-in-law, Betty Munson, Janet Munson, Elaine Andrews, and Geraldine Andrews.



Visitation will take place on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 3-7 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Private family burial will take place at Estabrooks Cemetery.
