Jeanne A. Arnold

Jeanne A. Arnold, 81, of 1446 Lynn Ave, Fond du Lac, WI went to meet her Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Woodlands Senior Park in Fond du Lac. She was born August 2, 1928 in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Erving and Clara Pomplin Kettler. On June 2, 1951, she married Eugene C. Arnold of Fond du Lac at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. She was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School, class of 1946. She furthered her education at Wisconsin Teachers College in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and received her Elementary Education Degree in 1950. She taught elementary education at Oakfield, Horicon, Mazomanie, Minocqua and Woodruff Grade Schools. She was a resident of Minocqua, Wisconsin from 1958 to 1986. She returned to the Fond du Lac area in 1986 and has resided at the Woodlands Senior Park since July of 2002. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Fond du Lac. She enjoyed knitting, playing cribbage, dominoes and Bingo. She also enjoyed telling stories of time spent in California from 1951 to 1953 when her husband, Eugene was stationed at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base.Jean is survived by her son, Greg (Sue) Arnold of Oshkosh, a daughter Sandra Enders of Fond du Lac, a sister Myrna Schubert of Malone, 2 grandsons Jeff Arnold of Appleton and Greg Enders of Fond du Lac, 2 granddaughters Jessica (Keith) Vanden Houghten and Rachel Enders of Fond du Lac, a step granddaughter Robin (Jason) Porst of Oshkosh and a step great granddaughter, Lindsay Porst. She is further survived by a sister-in-law Delores Berger of Oshkosh and a niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.



Private visitation and services are being held Wednesday at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac. The Reverend Michael Kampman will be officiating. The entombment will follow at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum.Memorials are appreciated and can be sent to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church School Dept. Fund.
