Jesse A. Sternitzky, 54, of Fond du Lac, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born April 15, 1959 in Marshfield, WI, the son of Alan Freezy and Loraine (Meisner) Sternitzky. He was a 1977 graduate of Horace Mann High School in North Fond du Lac. On August 2, 1986, Jesse married Joan Collver at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. Jesse will always be remembered as being a big teddy bear; one who would help anyone in need. He had a heart of gold, could light up a room with his sense of humor, and was a gifted mechanic and machinist. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved working on and driving his 1969 Buick GS400 and loved heavy metal; especially Metallica and Pantera. He was also a huge Packer fan. Jesse worked at Sadoff's and more recently at WW Electric Motors, which became his second family. He leaves behind his son, Neil, and daughter, Katie, both of Fond du Lac, two brothers; Gale of Black Wolf and Guy (special friend Dawn) of Fond du Lac, two sisters; Julie (Darwin) Wiley of Malone and Jenny (Ken) Freismuth of Fond du Lac, his father, Alan Freezy of King, WI, a special niece, Jackie (Scott) Church of Fond du Lac, his mother-in-law, Margaret Collver of Fond du Lac and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan, his mother, Loraine, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Froedtert Medical Team, the staff at Agnesian Healthcare and the entire staff of WW Electric Motors.
