John C. Boelter

December 8, 1959 — May 7, 2007

John Carl Boelter, age 47, an extraordinary young man, was called to his Heavenly Home by his Lord, on Monday, May 7, at Froedtert Lutheran Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee. John was the son of David and Emmy Boelter of North Fond du Lac, who raised, nurtured, and devoted their entire lives to John and his special needs. John was developmentally disabled from birth. At a young age, he acquired Epilepsy. In his later years, he battled neuropathy and many bouts with pneumonia. John was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, always living and expressing it on a daily basis. He was a proud Special Olympian, winning many medals in State competition. John had a special ability to enrich the lives of all those he came in contact with. Always smiling, with a twinkle in his eyes, John's kindness and love for others always shone through despite his many trials and tribulations in life. Surviving is a brother, David Jr., of North Fond du Lac, a sister, Elizabeth (David) Brost of Appleton, three nieces, Jennifer Boelter of Memphis, TN, and Kirmille Welbon of Indianapolis, Gabrielle Speilman of Waukesha, two nephews, Benjamin Spielman of Waukesha and Zacharia Speilman of Milwaukee, and a great niece, Sammeka Welbon, also of Indianapolis.
