John J. Wagner

John J. Wagner, 68, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born June 7, 1945 in Fond du Lac, the son of Alfred and Regina Gulig Wagner. John was a graduate of Goodrich High School Class of 1963. On July 23, 1963 he married Carol M. Huck at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. John worked as a meat cutter for Ed Koehn and Pick N Save in West Bend, owned and operated the Stop N Shop in Princeton, owned rental property for 35 years, and retired in 2008 from Cozzini Brothers. He enjoyed carpentry, doing yard work, traveling, watching Notre Dame, Packers, Brewers and Badgers and loved his cars. John had a quick wit and a great sense of humor, was a great husband, father and grandfather, who loved his family, God and his country.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; three sons, Joel (Sue) Wagner of Sun Prairie, WI and their children, Aimee, Heather, Joshua, Brandon and Miranda; Brian Wagner of Fullerton, CA; Robert (Jennifer) Wagner of Monroe, WI and their children, Max and Sam; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law, Lester and Isabelle Huck; one brother-in-law, Lester Franklin Huck.



The visitation will be held from 9:00 "“ 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Holy Family Parish, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Holy Family Parish. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tuveson, Dr. Wright and Dr. Santa-Cruz and the staff in the ICU and 4 South for their care and compassion given to John and his family.In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated in John's name to St. Victor's School, 1416 20th Avenue, Monroe, WI 53566.Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
