John R. Raabe

John R. Raabe, age 56, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at his residence following a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on August 28, 1961, in Beaver Dam, the son of William and Elizabeth (Kobs) Raabe. John grew up in Beaver Dam and graduated from Beaver Dam High School. On September 26, 2004, he married Christine L. Roberts in Waupaca. John worked as a bakery manager at Lowes Foods in North Carolina and worked at Festival Foods in Fond du Lac. John loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.



John was the loving husband of Christine (Roberts) Raabe of Fond du Lac; loving father of, April Raabe (Chris) of Portage, Michael Raabe (Diana) of Middleton; step-daughter, Ashley Zuelke (Chad) of Oshkosh; step-son, Adam Zuelke (Emily) of New Your City, NY; one brother, Bill Raabe Jr. (Wendy) of Fond du Lac; sisters, Lois Kobs (Bill) of Janesville, Mary Lou Hodgkins of Beaver Dam, Liz Van Buren (Jim) of Montgomery, MN, Patty Cotter (Steve) of Lonsdale, MN, Sue Pavek of Fond du Lac, Penny (Curt) Kimball of Fond du Lac; four granddaughters, Kaly, Gracie, Emily, and Hannah; father-in-law, Harp (Mary) Roberts of Ripon; and further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alan Raabe.



Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
