Joseph "Joe" Mark

Joseph “Joe” Mark, 80, died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his residence in Van Dyne. He was born in Milwaukee on March 23, 1938, a son of Peter and Theresa (Flannick) Mark. On June 25, 1966, he married Joan Perrizo at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac. She preceded him in death on December 28, 2014.



Joe served as a medic in the U.S. Army. Joe was a self-employed contractor for many years. In retirement, he and his family enjoyed playing tennis, eventually building a tennis club for his children. Joe gave his children and grandchildren a love for the outdoors, especially for hunting, and an appreciation for firearms.



Survivors include five children, Tracy (Tom) Setzer, Amy (Dave) Resop, Colleen (Ron) Gouin, Jonathon Mark and Maria Mark; five grandchildren, Ty Danielson, Allison, Mara, and Noah Resop, and Eve Mark; and one great-grandchild due in October. He is also survived by one brother, George Mark; three sisters, Ann (Gene) Stefaniak, Nancy (Bill) Sidesky and Mary Jane Mark; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan; and two brothers, Peter Mark and Jack Mark.



Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Presentation Parish – Holy Family, 705 Michigan Ave. in North Fond du Lac. A Memorial Mass will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM. Cremation has taken place.



In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Fond du Lac division of Salute the Troops are appreciated. They are located at 54 E. 1st St. in Fond du Lac.
