Joseph L. Luttenberger

Joseph L. Luttenberger, 85, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born January 7, 1930 in Fond du Lac, the son of Joseph F. and Irene M. Christie Luttenberger. On October 7, 1950 he married Geraldine K. Borzick in the St. Louis Church Rectory. Joe was an electrician for the City of Fond du Lac for 43 years, retiring as the Electrical Superintendent in 1993. He owned and operated Dr. Joe’s for 10 years with his good friends Gordy and Sandy Docter. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Holy Family Parish. Joe belonged to the Knights of Columbus Council #664, Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie #270, Fond du Lac Red Arrow Club, American Legion Post No. 0141, West Palm Beach, FL, West Palm Elks Lodge No. 1352 B. P.O.E., Wisconsin 32nd Veterans Association Division #7154, and the 127th Infantry Association #274 A.. Joe was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandpa. He was a dedicated friend to all. He had a kind gentle soul. He was always the first to offer his help and was able to fix anything and everything. His kids were always proud to say he was the first one to put “Rudolph” on top of the Fond du Lac Lighthouse at Christmas time. Joe was admired by many and had a great sense of humor and loved life.



SURVIVORS: He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gerry Luttenberger, Fond du Lac, three daughters, Catherine (Terry) Dowland, Fond du Lac, Sheree (Dick) West, Fond du Lac, and Tamie (Brian) Kaprelian, Lake Worth, FL; four grandchildren Missi (Jim) Dean, Fond du Lac, Tracie (Rodney) Rickli, Hampton, VA, and Allisa West, Boston, MA, and Collin West, Tallahasse,FL; three great grandchildren, Mitchell Nesbitt, Ian and Sadie Dean. He is further survived by one brother, Richard (Louise) Luttenberger, Oshkosh; one sister Sue (Howard) Koehoorn, Waupun and three brother-in-laws; Ron Carson, Jackson, Raymond “Jim” (Arlene) Borzick, Fond du Lac, and John “Jack” (Audrey) Borzick, North Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews and many friends in Fond du Lac and Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Audrey Balthazor, Charlene Becker, and Janice Carson.



VISITATION: The visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Monday at church. FUNERAL: The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Holy Family Church, 271 4th Street Way, Fond du Lac. Burial will be held in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Trier Puddy American Legion Post #75 will conduct military graveside services.
